Analipsi

The village of Analipsi is located 20km east of Heraklion and takes its name after the church of the Ascension of Christ. It is located in a fertile valley, cultivated mainly with olive groves. It is also known as Analipsis Hersonissou, as it is very close to the seaside resort of Hersonissos.

Tourist development in Analipsis began very recently and that sets her apart from other seaside resorts in the area. Thus, Analipsis maintains a very authentic Cretan character. Once you enter the village you will be surrounded by white houses with beautiful gardens and olive groves. One can stroll around the alleys and the stone-paved square, which is reasonably lively in the afternoon.
